- Swing State Election Analysis
Spring 2026, with S. Goodell and W. Creager.
I led the classification work in our study of electoral volatility across 250 counties in Pennsylvania, Michigan and North Carolina. Racial diversity and housing-market conditions were useful predictors, but testing on an unseen state showed how little a model sometimes generalizes beyond the places it learned from.
- Reddit outreach platform
February 2026.
I led a four-person team building a Reddit outreach platform, including a method for scraping community data. It helps users find relevant communities, draft posts suited to each community and preview possible reactions through simulated commenters based on 15 fictional personas. The project won CU Boulder’s DaSSA Data Science Hackathon (30+ teams).
- Bandy: digital literacy and broadband access
September–November 2025.
Our interviews in Fairplay shifted a project on broadband access toward a more immediate need: help with everyday digital tasks. I modeled access across 64 Colorado counties and built Bandy, a chatbot designed to help people manage those tasks themselves; we placed second in the Broadband Equity Challenge.
